MGA Landmark is delighted to announce that its Board member David Ratledge will be its inaugural Managing Director going forward, he has 30 years of insurance experience and success which will see him lead the firm with his fellow Board members to shape its next chapter.

David having joined Landmark in 2020, already had a very strong and deep understanding of the group and had been an integral part of the strategic and operational development of the MGA, as it continues to grow and strengthen its position in the Insurance market, the company said.

The Insurance business said David Ratledge was by far the strongest candidate for the role following a review of both external and internal candidates.

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, one of the Founders and Owners of Landmark, said,”2021 has been an exciting year for Landmark Underwriting, with its growth plans coming to fruition, from Landmark Canada opening, Peter Staddon continuing as Non-Executive Chairman for the next 2 years, signing Larne FC as an Ambassador for their next three seasons and having their Stadium’s (Inver Park) Main stand named The Landmark Stand.

Landmark has many ambitious plans for the rest of this year and leading into a further growth year in 2022. I and the other owners of Landmark are excited to see David Ratledge heading up the London HQ and seizing the opportunities that our MGA has going forward plus seeing through its upcoming exciting plans. I wish him well on his new journey, and I am looking forward to seeing what he and the rest of our team can achieve together under his leadership.”
David Ratledge, Managing Director of Landmark Underwriting, “I feel hugely fortunate to have this opportunity,” said David. “It’s a huge privilege that the owners of Landmark have seen in me the qualities needed to continue what has been built and now to take the business forward. I care tremendously about the firm and all of the individuals within it. I am really looking forward to working closely with my fellow directors, including Non-Executive Chairman Peter Staddon, and all the individuals at Landmark, including our broking partners and service providers, who have been instrumental in building Landmark over the years plus during what has been a very challenging, yet rewarding, year.”
