The Board
David Ratledge
Managing Director
David’s is the company’s Managing Director. His main responsibilities include the general oversight and management of the group businesses, as well as the development and application of Landmark’s strategy alongside the overall vision for its future expansion.
David has over 20 years of experience in non-Life Insurance businesses, having previously qualified in public practice. He has been a board member for Brokerages in the United Kingdom, MGAs and European Insurance Companies.
David has extensive experience in Corporate Governance, Actuarial and Re-insurance processes.

Peter Staddon
Non-Executive Chairman
Peter arrived at Landmark in November 2020.
He joined us fresh from his last role as Managing Director of the Managing General Agents Association. Peter was the driving force behind the growth of the MGAA and has not long retired from his position with the organisation.
He was appointed to the Board and the Grants Committee of The Insurance Charities in 2009.
Peter has over 25 years of Delegated Authority experience and has been an important figure in leading the Insurance industry through market initiatives and educational forums.

Anne Dwyer
Board Adviser
Anne is an Audit and Assurance Partner and Head of Property and Construction at Kreston Reeves.
She’s also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Loughborough, Anne qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and subsequently worked at BDO Stoy Hayward, in their property team, before joining Kreston Reeves in 2009.
She has over 15 years of experience in Audit and Assurance and has a wide portfolio of clients which are predominantly medium and large-sized companies ranging from AIM-listed to owner-managed businesses.
Anne provides Landmark with our HR function and Accounting.
Steve Lockwood
Compliance Director
Steve serves as Principal at Belinos Consulting Limited.
He’s a highly regarded professional in the London Insurance Market, with more than two decades of Regulatory and Compliance experience and over 10 years of operating at Senior Management level.
Steve has been a Director and the Compliance Officer for two Lloyd’s Insurance groups and has been registered as an Approved Person by the FCA.
In 2004 he launched his own consultancy and since then has been working closely with the Senior Management of London Market Insurers and Brokers.
Steve holds a BA (Hons) in History.

The Team
Kate Albert
Head of Underwriting
Kate has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services. Starting her career at Aon, and then moving on to Chubb and then Liberty writing a range of Professional Indemnity risks. She also spent 3 years at the Financial Conduct Authority undertaking an MSc in Compliance and Regulation through Henley Business School.
Kate has a background in Professional Indemnity, but she is currently responsible for overseeing our whole underwriting book (PI, D&O and Property) here at Landmark Underwriting, reporting directly into our Managing Director on behalf of all business lines.

Christopher White
Head of Professional Indemnity
He is responsible for developing the Landmark PI Brand in these regions plus building broker relations from existing and new partnerships to enhance the portfolios.
Christopher has 20 years UK and international business experience in the London professional indemnity market, previously being at Barbican, Hamilton, CNA and Canopus.
Christopher has deep knowledge across all areas of professional indemnity and enjoys working with brokers to find solutions for our customers. He previously read Politics at the University of York.

Andrew Ravenscroft
Head of Property
Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in property insurance in both underwriting and broking roles. He started his insurance career in 2001 with RSA and has worked in the company market and for Lloyd’s of London syndicates. Andrew has experience writing direct and facultative business, also binders.
Andrew is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Insurer and is responsible for developing Landmark’s property offering.

Brian Denton
Underwriting Consultant
Brian, who previously had been at Pioneer Syndicate and Lloyd’s Syndicate Antares. Where he held the position of Class Underwriter at both successful Insurers.
He has over 30 years’ experience in the London market, and an extensive knowledge of all aspects of International Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Ricky Pannell
Head of IT (Consultant)
Ricky is our Head of IT whose responsibilities include the general overseeing of the Landmark network and our system infrastructure.
He has 15 years of IT experience in the Legal Sector and works closely with the Management Team to align the needs of the Company and our employees with the tech systems.
Ricky has been involved in some major cloud transformation projects, including moving firms into Microsoft Azure with Office 365, the set-up of new Dell Storage, Microsoft Hyper V environments, the full lifecycle of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity projects.
These successes showcase the breadth of expertise Ricky offers Landmark.

Joanne Scott
Operations Manager
Joanne joined Landmark in February 2020 and has more than 20 years experience
within various Lloyd’s of London syndicates.
Bringing a broad mix of organisational and personable skills with her, Joanne’s previous senior roles in Administration and Credit Control provide her with strong foundations as she heads up the management of our Operations Team.
Joanne also possesses excellent Microsoft Office skills which assist the management of Landmark’s Administration and Office.

Lucy Davies
Operations Assistant
Lucy joined Landmark Underwriting in July 2020 and is equipped with excellent IT abilities plus organisational and personable skills.
Her previous roles have provided a good grounding to assist the Operations team.

Laura Ferguson
Finance Assistant
Laura has joined Landmark Underwriting as the Finance Assistant after completing her Bachelor of Accounting Degree. Her analytical and organizational skills will add enormous value to the growth of our Finance division. With excellent number-crunching abilities and Excel skills, Laura will be an integral part of our team.

Charlie Stretton
Underwriting Assistant
Charlie joined Landmark Underwriting in November 2021 and has already built up many excellent IT and organisational skills from being previously in the banking industry.
His grounding in the finance and regulatory world sees him as an assistant in the Operations and Finance teams.
