The London-based Underwriter, Landmark, is delighted to announce the opening of its latest office location in Canada. The office, in Toronto, is being headed up by Fergus Meldrum who joins Landmark Canada Ltd as a Non-Executive Director.
Fergus brings with him a wealth of experience having worked in Canadian group insurance and institutional investment for more than 2 decades. He currently oversees more than $800m in group retirement assets and is the Vice-President of Business Development and Investment Strategies.
Landmark Underwriting is a specialist Managing General Agent focussed upon building long-term business relationships with individuals and teams by working in close partnership with them. Landmark provides innovative insurance solutions and is committed to offering the highest levels of service and efficiency to its global strategic broking partners.
Speaking about this new chapter for Landmark in Canada, Ross Lazaroo-Hood, the Group’s CEO, said:

Landmark (Canada) Ltd. o/a Landmark Underwriting (“Landmark Canada”) recently obtained the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (“RIBO”) license and is now licensed to carry on business in Ontario. Landmark Canada intends to become licensed in all provinces and territories in Canada over the next couple of months with the aim of adding Quebec in 2022.
